Abdominal Region Massage

Massage techniques that focus on the abdominal regions invigorate fu organs functioning, and are beneficial to conditions like gastric discomfort, indigestion, constipation, abdominal pain, as well as menstrual and sexual dysfunction.
  1. Knead the acupoints: knead the center of upper abdomen (Rn 12), below the free ends of the eleventh ribs (Lr 13), both sides of the navel (St 25), and then press along the midline of the lower abdomen especially on Rn 6, Rn 3 & Rn2 acupoints (the Conception Vessel Meridian that runs along the midline of abdomen is one of the important meridians for body balancing), for about 20〜30 times respectively, press firmly to create a soreness feeling.
  2. Rub the abdomen: pile the palms together and rub over the upper, middle and lower abdominal regions respectively. Rubbing in a clockwise manner first and then in an anticlockwise manner, for about 30〜50 times.
  3. Rub the lower abdomen: use the palm edges to press on both sides of the belly button, scrub up and down over the lower abdomen, 30 times.
  4. Digital-press the lower abdomen: use the middle finger to tap on the midline of lower abdomen (especially on Rn 6, Rn 3 & Rn2 acupoints), about 30〜50 times each. These should transmit a feeling of tingling to the external genital organs.
