Massage techniques on the eye region are useful for relieving vision fatigue, and also beneficial to conditions like shortsightedness, blurred vision, glaucoma and other eye problems.
- Knead the eyebrows: press the thumbs on the inner sides of the eyebrows (Bl 2), and knead for 20 times; the pressure should be gradually increased to obtain a feeling of soreness.
- Pinch the nasal bridge: use the thumb and index finger to pinch the nasal bridge closest to the inner canthi of the eyes (Bl 1), firmly pinch upward and downward for about 20〜30 times.
- Press the lower eyelids: use the index fingers to press the lower eyelids, just below the pupils (St 2), and knead for about 20 times.
- Scrape around the orbits: put the thumbs on the temples, press the middle knuckles of index fingers on the inner canthi of eyes, then scrape apart along the upper and lower orbits, for about 20〜30 times.
- Compress the eyeballs: rub the hands together to get them warm first, cover on the eyes (closed) for 30 seconds, and then lightly rub the eyeballs for 10 times or more.
- Knead the temples: the thumbs press firmly in the center of temples (Ex-HN5), and knead for about 30 times.
